Social Behavior Change Officer

Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanisms and strategies to prevent, control, and respond to malaria outbreaks at community/facility level.
• Guide the development process of materials for community education and awareness.
• Develop strategies for malaria Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and health promotion.
• Produce a report on the proposed improvements for malaria control.
• Develop training programs and materials for health workers on disease prevention and control using participatory methods.
• Carry out field support activities to reinforce and bridge information needs.
• Responsible for public relations function for the Malaria Control Program.
• Monitor and evaluate interventions of the National Malaria Control Program.

Requirements:

• Degree in Health Education or Promotion.
• At least 2 years working in public health.
• Knowledge and experience in IEC material development.
