Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement organizational procurement policies and processes.
- Provide expert advice to management and key stakeholders.
- Provide leadership, direction, and effective management of procurement staff.
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance for cost savings/efficiency.
- Lead initiatives focused on sustainability and responsible sourcing.
- Identify and manage supply chain/procurement risk.
- Manage projects (e.g., construction, protracted ICT projects).
- Establish performance standards for procurement staff evaluation.
- Interpret procurement statutes and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Manage key stakeholder relationships (Contractors, PRAZ, Public Works).
- Oversee and facilitate the tender process and bid adjudication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, SCM, or Business Admin. (Master's is prerequisite).
- Professional certification in procurement (CIPS or equivalent) is prerequisite.
- At least 5 years of progressive procurement experience, with 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of legislation and international best practices.
