High School Headmaster

Gateway High School, a member of the Association of Trust Schools (ATS) and Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI) is looking for a visionary leader to provide strategic leadership aligned with the school's mission and Christian ethos. The Headmaster will uphold the school's Christian values, drive academic excellence, and foster a nurturing and disciplined environment for both students and staff. The position accounts for all academic activities of the High School to the Board of Trustees and the Board Chairperson. They will be required to perform duties with the decorum that corresponds with running a Christian education institution striving to honour God in and through all things. The successful candidate for this role should possess the capabilities to do the following:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership aligned with the school's mission and Christian ethos
• Oversee the hiring of good quality human resources for the institution
• Ensure development, and performance management of the staff
• Develop and implement growth strategies that drive enrolment
• Maintain and enhance high academic standards.
• Maintain constant oversight of the school budget, assets and capital development
• Lead and inspire teaching and administrative staff toward continuous improvement
• Oversee student welfare, discipline, and holistic development
• Ensure effective financial, operational, and resource management
• Strengthen engagement with parents, alumni, and the wider community
• Ensure compliance with Association of Trust Schools (ATS) and Association of Christian Schools International (ASCI) standards and national education regulations
• Promote the school's reputation locally and regionally

Qualifications & Experience:

• Master's degree in Education or Educational Leadership (required)
• A committed Christian with strong alignment to the school's values
• Minimum 8–10 years' teaching experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership
• Experience in Association of Trust Schools (ATS) or comparable independent schools
• Strong understanding of the Cambridge curriculum and Christian Education
• Proven track record of leadership and school improvement
