Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate shall be responsible for the following core duties:
- Human Resources and administration planning
- Recruitment and selection administration
- On-boarding, training & development management
- Payroll management.
- Performance management
- Facilitating the development and review of Council policies and by laws.
- Industrial relations management
- Management of Council Assets.
- Committees' administration
- Providing secretarial duties to the HR & Admin Committee as well as play an advisory role on procedural and legislative matters to all committees of Council.
- Administration of occupational health and safety
- Managing the calendar of events for all Council activities.
Qualification and Experience:
- A Degree from a recognized university in Human Resources/ Labour Relations/ Administration or a social science degree with a recognized human resources/labour relations diploma
- At least 4 years post qualification working experience in middle management in a human resources position. Local government experience is an added advantage
- IPMZ membership - an added advantage.
- A relevant Masters degree will be an added advantage.
- At least 30 years old and mature.
- A citizen of Zimbabwe.
- A clean criminal record and a clean record of service within the local government fraternity
