Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and make determinations on deceased and insolvent estates.
- Assist the Master in strategic goals and policy reform/legislation.
- Oversee administration of insolvent, deceased estates, and corporate rescue processes.
- Administer estates of minor children and supervise the Guardian's Fund.
- Appoint and remove insolvency/corporate rescue practitioners.
- Adjudicate complex disputes regarding deceased/insolvent estates.
- Determine compliance of testamentary documents (wills).
- Preside over complex creditors meetings and dispute resolutions.
- Authorize investment decisions on behalf of the Master in absence.
- Ensure circulars are adhered to and Additional Masters operate efficiently.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB). Postgraduate qualification in Law (Succession/Insolvency, Public Policy, Governance) is prerequisite.
- At least 5 years experience as a registered Legal Practitioner (Law Society).
- At least 5 years experience at Senior Mgmt Level in judicial/quasi-judicial administration.
- Strong knowledge of Zimbabwean legal and policy frameworks.
