Job Description
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position as mentioned above. The incumbent will carry out duties within the Finance Department reporting to the Debt Collection Manager as follows:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Stratify collection activities to maximize cash receipts.
- Issue dunning letters to overdue accounts
- Use skip tracing technique to locate customers
- Contact customers regarding overdue accounts and determine reason for non - payment
- Repossess merchandise when payment is unlikely
- Issue credit hold notification
- Coordinate customer credit change with the credit department
- Recommend that accounts be shifted to a collection agency
- Process small claims court complaints
- Recommend bad debt write offs
- Filling documentation pertaining to debt collections
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- A degree from a recognized University in Finance or Accounting
- At least (1) one year post qualification experience in debt collection
- A citizen of Zimbabwe
