Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist the VCO with planning, implementing, supervision, and evaluation of vector control interventions.
- Establish and strengthen vector control contact points in affected provinces.
- Establish vector control program monitoring and evaluation systems.
- Strengthen malaria vector surveillance through preparation of catching sites.
- Nurture environmental compliance on the handling, use, and disposal of insecticides.
- Participate in quantification of vector control commodities and preparatory trainings.
- Assist in tender processes for timely procurement and delivery of insecticides.
- Assist in distribution and prepositioning of vector control commodities to provinces.
- Ensure implementation of guidelines, standards, and protocols.
- Participate in coordination and training of vector control partners.
- Organize and facilitate meetings to review implementation.
- Conduct periodic data quality checks for compliance.
- Coordinate vector control data collection, consolidation, and timely reporting.
- Ensure availability of data and reports submitted to the programme.
- Contribute to organizing conferences and National Vector Control forums.
- Assist in the development of funding proposals for Vector Control activities.
- Provide assistance to provinces as and when necessary.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Environmental Health or social sciences (Degree is an added advantage).
- At least 2 years working in malaria vector control and prevention at provincial/district level.
